Official journal of the Republic of Tunisia

The Official journal of the Republic of Tunisia (rear RTL الرائدالرسميللجمهوريةالتونسية), also shortened JORT , is the twice-weekly official one published by the State Tunisia N in which are consigned all the legislative events (Loi S and Décret S), lawful (Arrêté S), legal official declarations and publications.

The first number of the Official journal appears the Sunday July 22nd 1860 under the title of Arra' id Attunisi (rear RTL الرائدالتونسي). Later, this one becomes Arra' id Arrasmi Attunisi (rear RTL الرائدالرسميالتونسي) or Tunisian Official journal . The title JORT is adopted the July 26th 1957 the shortly after the proclamation of the republic.

JORT is published every Tuesday and Fridays by the official Printing works of the Republic of Tunisia. A version French E of the official texts is published since 1883 but, in accordance with the law n°93-64 of the July 5th 1993, only the Arab version of the texts is taken. That in French language is only informative.

The date of publication to JORT in general conditions the date on which the text produces legal effects - since it is necessary that a text is known to be applicable - except if the text itself indicates a time of application. Articles of law returning to decrees on enforcement of a law cannot come into effect as long as the decrees are not in their turn published in JORT .

The complete collection of JORT , starting from its first French and Arabic publication, is consultable with the seat of the Public records of Tunisia. This collection also includes/understands the originals of the legislative texts and lawful published.
