Office of investigations into the events of sea
The Bureau of investigations into the events of sea (also called BEA sea or BEAmer , the shortened shape of Office Investigations Accidents/sea) is an public agency French to charge with carrying out Enquête S into the events at sea, like the accidents, Naufrage S, etc
It depends on the Ministère of Ecology, the Development and Installation durable; its role is “to establish the circumstances and to seek the causes of the events of sea in order to learn from them the lessons which they comprise for the improvement of the Maritime security”.
