Offensive guard

A offensive guard is a player of American football which evolves/moves in the offensive training of the team and more precisely in the offensive line located in front of theback one (Quarterback) and charged with blocking the defensive adversaries.

Qualities

Like the other players of offensive line, they are large gauges. They generally measure between 1,85  m and 2,00  m and weigh between 130 and 155  kg. They have a gauge comparable with that of the Offensive tackle S .

Roles

They are charged to block the adversaries to prevent them Sack er the quarterback or to create openings for the Running back. They are located on both sides center, framed by the Offensive tackle S. In the field of the race, they thus make it possible the running back to thread in the center of defense.

To in no case, it cannot receive a master key launched by the quarterback, which is valid also for its fellow-members of the offensive line, under penalty of seeing inflicting with the team a penalty. The only means for this player of touching the balloon is to recover a Fumble. It cannot block an adversary by behind either.
