Offenbach-Bieber

Bieber is a German small town, located in the Land of Hesse. It became a district of Offenbach amndt Hand in 1938.

Bieber on the whole has a population of 14.797 inhabitants (at December 31st 2005) and its small district Bieber-Waldhof has a population of 3300 inhabitants (2005).

Geography

Bieber is located on southern bank of the Main, and is limtrophe several districts of Francfort-sur-le-Main. The stage of Kickers Offenbach, a German football club, having for name " Stadion Bieberer Berg" (stage of the hill/mountain of Bieber) , is located between Bieber and Offenbach.

There is also a small brook, with the name Bieber or Bieberbach (=ruisseau Bieber), which crosses the city.

History

Bieber is an old city, it was founded in 791 by the Francs.
