References

Throughout the history, the rérences with the traditional literature, or the popular culture multiply. Here are some examples:
  • the names of the two main characters are references to the " Novel of Renard". Gift Lope, the wolf, names " Villalobos there Sangrin". The name d'" there is recognized; Ysengrin" , the wolf companion of Fox in the novel. When in Armand, the fox, the name which it carries (" Maupertuis") is also that of the fortress of the goupil, always in the same novel.
  • Certains passages points out films. for example, in the volume 1, when gift Lope and Maupertuis prepare to attack the chébèque one, the closes-up of the chests, the installation of the black make-up under the eyes and the “click clac” of the loops of belt and the weapons recall the scene where John Rambo prepares with his mission in Rambo II.
  • Lastly, of the references to the literature, in too great number to be indexed here, is enamelled throughout the account (Molière, picaresque Roman, Fables of the Fountain, Shakespeare…)
An example, nevertheless: Cyrano of Bergerac composes a ballade by fighting (the famous " at the end of the sending, I touche"). Armand borrows the idea to him: In the worms that it déclame during a combat: " Quickly, Sir, a rhyme in “oc” I found, it acts of 'croc'". In Cyrano: " I miss a rhyme in “eutre”…. It is to provide me the word pleutre! "
