Odumegwu Emeka Ojukwu
Odumegwu Emeka Ojukwu was born the November 4th 1933. Laid off in modern history with Oxford and graduate of the military academy of Eaton Hall, he becomes military governor of the State of the east ( Eastern State ) to the Nigeria as from January 1966. He proclaims the independence of the Biafra on May 30th 1967 and becomes the military chief of the province secessionist. In 1976 Ojukwu “is forgiven” by the authorities and is authorized to turn over of its exile in Ivory Coast to live in Nigeria. It settles in the State d' Enugu in the south-east of the country. Candidate with the presidential elections of the 2003. former chief rebels Biafran, old of more than 70 years, is one of the major components of the current opposition, with his party, Great alliance for progress (large All progressive alliance).
