Odoric de Pordenone (towards 1286 - January 14th 1331) was one of the occcidentaux travellers to go in the Far East during the Moyen-âge. The description of its voyage in China was an important source of that which did Guillaume de Solagna and Jean de Mandeville. Many whimsical assertions of Mandeville seem deformations of visual testimonys of Odoric.
