Guy Houdoin , which takes in 1997 the pseudonym Odon is an artist plastics technician born in Mans (the Sarthe), in 1940.

Biography

Artistic studies has Angers, Tours then Paris where it obtains a diploma with Beautiful arts.

Its work quickly led it to côtoyer in particular Alechinsky, Soulages, Manessier.

Odon begins braiding after its installation with Nogent on Marne, in 1976. It transforms a decayed printing works into workshop, and travels to the United States.

In 1985: it is victim of an cardiac arrest; four minutes of brain death, a restarting by electric shocks and a paralysis which it will fight: " The accident led me to go to essence, to look me compared to myself, to insulate to me to be universel". Odon

At the time, Odon made braiding with " four mains" by inviting other artists. For more than twenty years, Odon has braided. It braids “in the color”. It braids, starting from paper thin straps paints recto back, of the polychrome works structured by beams of rays expanding. Wheels punts by means of Canson coloured, then large krafts, Nautiles, immense spirals, cosmic nebulas bright of colors.
