Synopsis

Paul, just demobilized, is in the search of a work and militates against the war in Vietnam. He is in love with Madeleine, a young singer who is worried more her success in the trade that sentimental demonstrations of her friend. Comment

Male, Female watch Chantal Goya as a singer " yé-yé" competitor of France Gall, which it was precisely at the time. The songs of the original soundtrack are the titles of the singer published at RCA same the année.
The film treats in particular the life of couple in the modern world and sexuality (decency, pleasure, prostitution, contraception, abortion), which will be worth to him to be prohibited to the minors of less than 18 years at its exit. Other topics traverse it, such as violence, the war, the murder, the suicide, the political commitment and the certainty, the consumer society or racism.
