Odivelas
Odivelas is a Portuguese city of the District of Lisbon, in the area of Lisbon and the under-area of the Grand Lisbon.
It shelters a municipality relatively not very wide, with a surface of 26,14 km ² for 133.846 inhabitants (2001), and is subdivided in 7 parishes.
Odivelas is limited to the North-East by the town of Loures, to south-east by Lisbon and west by Amadora and Sintra. It was created in 1998 by a division of Loures.
The municipal council is chaired by Susana de Carvalho Amador (PS) since 2005.
Since March 27th, 2004, the city is connected to Lisbon by the underground railway network, by the prolongation of the “yellow line” (Linha Amarela) since Campo Grande.
