Odilon of Bavaria
Odilon of Bavaria , duke of Bavaria starting from 736, belongs to the family of the Agilolfing. He dies the January 18th 748.
With the duke of Aquitaine Hunald, it joins together a coalition of dissatisfied against his brothers-in-law, Carloman and Pépin. Odilon is the husband of Hiltrude, sister of Carloman and Pépin the Brief. These two last were opposed to their marriage. Their son is Tassilon III that Pépin recognizes into 747 like duke of Bavaria, to replace Grifon, half-brother of Pip and Carloman Ier which was hostile for them and which had seized the duchy at the following day died of Odilon.
