Odile Kolb

Odile Kolb is an artist Lorraine painter born in 1953 in France.

She works the fabric and life with Metz since the years 1970. Its very large works often do not have a name; she generally uses pigments to which she adds Huile, Acrylique and of various materials. It results from it a work which radiates Lumière and of emotion S, which imposes its truth by an obvious kind and with an involving force. The blow is carried on a level of pure feeling. On bottom of seemingly monochromic color, very dark, spread variations in scratches and superpositions - black, gray, Prussian blue or “moon powder”, brown, red, rare yellow; shivers chechmates, feverish, geometrical sometimes, linear or circumvented. Thus it is with deepest of the sensitivity, in-on this side intelligence and of its perceptive judgment, that launches out, with the vibration of a jet, as one says weapon of jet, this mobile image and forces, now immobilized. The art of Odile Kolb is an art of the wound, his become suddenly ours.
