Odd Creations

Bizarre Creations is a company of development of Video game having begun under this name in 1994 and based with Liverpool, in England. The company is known for certain video games having received warm welcome on behalf of the public as Formula One , Metropolis Street Racer on Dreamcast or the series of the Project Gotham Racing on Xbox and Xbox 360. The company was repurchased by Activision in 2007.

Bizarre Creations was born from the renaming of the company Raising Hell Software , a developer of video game founded in 1988 by Martyn Chudley. Sega makes pressure then in order to remove the " term; Hell" (" Enfer" in French); following that, the company does not bear any more a name during a certain time. In 1994, a request on behalf of Psygnosis imposes on Bizarre the search for a new name. The founder gives the name " initially; Weird Concepts" in the furnished documents with Psygnosis. Later, a member of the team uses the dictionary of synonyms of Microsoft Word on the name and " Odd Creations" is the proposal which is preserved.

The team of Odd Creations begins with five people working on a conceptual project from the name from Slaughter . After having seen the demonstration, Psygnosis directly agrees to sign with them in order to develop Formula One on PlayStation. This last becomes the play more sold in Europe in 1996.

The May 6th 2006, the company announces the exit of a play of objective shooting, The Club .
