• 1899 : In Swiss, adoption by the Parliament of the " federal law on the insurance in the event of disease and of accidents including the insurance militaire" , known as " Lex Forrer" who was rejected by the people the following year at the time of a Référendum (see Health insurance in Switzerland).

• 1881 : birth with Prague, Czechoslovakia of Hans Kelsen, American Lawyer of Austrian origin (deceased the April 19th with Orinda, California)
