- 1967 ( Formula 1 ): While gaining, at the wheel of its Lotus - Climax, GP of Mexico of Formula 1, the Scottish pilot Jim Clark - with 24 victories - the record of the number of victories in Grand Prix equalizes, bench ten years earlier by the quintuple Argentinian world champion Juan Manuel Fangio.
- 1989 ( Formula 1) : The duel at the top between the two fellow-members of McLaren - Honda Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna for the attribution of the title of world champion of Formula 1 turns short, at the time of GP of Japan, on the Circuit of Suzuka. Senna tries to pass in force, Prost refuses to yield: the two single-seaters enter in collision. Prost gives up, Senna sets out again, but is disqualified to be pushed by the police chiefs. Alain Prost gains its third championship of the world.
- 1990 ( Formula 1) : For the last but one Grand Prix of the season with Suzuka, Ayrton Senna - which knows that it can gain the title if none of the two pilots mark of point during this test - strikes at full speed the Ferrari of its rival Alain Prost as of the first turn. The two pilots find themselves except race. But, this dangerous operation is not sanctioned and the Brazilian pilot is crowned world champion at the wheel of his McLaren - Honda.
