- Strike: “ the fourth day of inter-union mobilization since the 2005 beginning; ” the general secretary of the CFDT recalled;: this day 470 was counted; 000 demonstrators through France according to the police force, 1 147 290 according to the CGT. The strike took place in many sectors of which the public transport. This day of protest was organized by all the trade unions to defend, inter alia, the purchasing power, the employment and the rights of the employees. The newspaper Humanity announces that 74% of the French express their support or their sympathy with these manifestations of October 4th.
- Ramadan: it begins with 5:59 for the Musulman S French. The beginning of the Ramadan thus coincides with the Jewish new year, year 5766 is celebrated the first day of the month of Tichri commemorating the creation of the man. This coincidence had not occurred since 1942.

University: The University of
Rouen is mobilized since more than one month to obtain State which it holds its engagements financing job creation. This Wednesday, the mobilized Collective students and personnel invites all the universities to join their fight. Thursday the 19th
Unemployment: The Council of State quickly judged, and it refuses the application of the trade unions to cancel CNE. The CFE-CGC was afflicted to see “ to validate a precarious contract
