Octeville-sur-Mer

Octeville-sur-Mer is a common French, located in the department of the Seine-Maritime and the area High-Normandy.

Its inhabitants is called Octevillais.

Geography

This commune is located on Right Bank of the the Seine, with five kilometers of the Havre, in the canton of Montivilliers.

Because of its situation close to the Harbor, the airport is located on the commune of Octeville-sur-Mer, along cliffs of the Côte of Alabaster, with a unspoilable view on the Manche.

History

Would the name of Octeville come from a colonist Scandinave, Ottar (?) at the 10th century.
