Ocotal
Capital of the department Nueva Segovia with the Nicaragua. Ocotal is to 21 km in the South of the border with the Honduras. It is crossed by the Panaméricaine.
July 16th, 1927 one of the first cities bombarded and was mitraillée in the history. The United States Air Force attacking the troops of Sandino caused several hundreds even thousands (the figures remain dubious) deaths among the civil population.
