Occupation of Germany after the Second world war
The occupation of Germany after the Second world war was organized by the Alliés at the time several conferences in 1944 and 1945.
The territory of the Germany was tiny room to that of the German Reich with the December 31st 1937, i.e. before the annexations hitlériennes, amputee of the portion in the East of the line Oder-Neisse. It was divided into four zones of occupation ( of Besatzungszonen ), except for Berlin, itself divided into four sectors ( of Sektoren ).
The Allies created Länder, and those of the three Western zones founded in May 1949 the the Federal Republic of Germany, while in the East was founded in October the German Democratic republic.
