Océanic de Rimouski

The Océanic de Rimouski is a frankness from the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec, evolving/moving in the Western division of this one. The team made her beginnings in 1995 following the repurchase and with the transfer of the Lynx of Midsummer's Day by a group of shareholder having at the head the family Maurice Tanguay. She plays her local parts with the Colisée de Rimouski, arena of: 5062 places. The shirt of Océanic is one of most popular of the Canadian Ligue of hockey because of the presence of Sidney Crosby in the team between 2003 and 2005.

In 1999-2000, with Brad Richards at the head, Océanic gained to it triple crown, i.e., the Trophée Jean Rougeau given to the champion of the regular calendar, the Coupe of the President, emblême of the eliminatory Séries of the Ligue of hockey major junior of Quebec and finally the Coupe Memorial given to the Canadian champion .

It failed to repeat the exploit in 2004-05, whereas Sidney Crosby, 17 years old, evolved/moved for the team of a whole area. Océanic inclined this year there finally Coupe Memorial against the Knights de London. It had before raflée the championship of the regular season and the eliminatory series of the LHJMQ. This sequence is longer than the current record of the Canadian League of hockey, of 33 parts without defeat, establishes by the Knights de London the same year.
