Hantise ( The Haunting ) is an American film carried out by Jan de Bont, left in 1999.

Synopsis

In this supernatural suspense vibrating putting in scene the largest high-speed motorboats of Hollywood, an experiment turns to the nightmare terrifying for a professor and his three guinea-pigs captive of a mysterious manor.

Since more than one century, the Hill house is drawn up, sunk, threatening and abandoned of all. It is at least what one believed. Intrigued by the history of this manor, Dr. Marrow involves these three subjects, Theo, Neil and Luke on the spot for an experiment which was to prove to be inoffensive. But as of their arrival, Neil is attracted mysteriously by the house and this terrifying attraction is reciprocal. Once the fallen night, the experiment turns awfully badly whereas the group discovers the obsessing secrecies which haunt the walls of this house.

The house unchains its supernatural anger been useful by astounding special effects in this new suspense of the realizer of Clanches! and Tornado.
