Observatory of the statistics of immigration and integration

The Observatory of the statistics of immigration and integration , or statistical Observatory of immigration and integration ( OSII ) is a French public agency charged to gather reliable data on the migratory flux in France, given up to that point dispersed between several ministries, and to evaluate the policies followed as regards integration.

Attributions

Created on July 2nd, 2004, the OSII belongs to the High council to integration (HCI). It took the continuation of the statistical group of the HCI. It brings together members of the National institute of the statistics and economic studies (INSEE), National institute of demographic studies (INED) and Office of the international migrations (OMI) as well as various ministries concerned.

Direction

The president of the OSII is the sociologist Jacqueline Costa-Lascoux, researcher at the Research center policies of Science-Po (CEVIPOF). Its scientific advice is chaired by Helene Carrère d' Encausse.
