Observatory of Armagh
The observatory of Armagh is a modern institute of research in Astronomie, based with Armagh in Northern Ireland, and equipped with a long historical past. The observatory is not very far away from the center of the town of Armagh and close to the Planétarium to Armagh located on a ground to 16 Hectare S called Armagh Astropark . It was founded in 1790 by Richard Robinson Archevêque of Armagh and is the second observatory in Northern Ireland after the Observatoire Dunsink in 1785.
Historically and scientifically speaking the most notable work carried out with Armagh is due to John Dreyer which worked out there most of sound New General Catalogs Nebulae and Clusters off off Stars. In 2007 about 25 Astronome S are active in Armagh where they study mainly the stellar Astrophysique, the Sun, the Solar system and the terrestrial Climat.
