Observation of Campeche

The Observation of Campeche, with the Mexico, take place in 2004 when a infra-red Caméra of a plane of the Mexican Air force filmed 11 Ovni S in the Mexican airspace. The explanation skeptic of this case is that the infra-red camera filmed Torchère S of the wells of Pétrole (detectable at very long distance by an infra-red camera because of heat which releases the flares). Facts

March 5th, 2004, a twin-engine of the 501ème squadron of the Mexican Air force carries out an anti-drug patrol, in the state of the Campeche. Little before 17:00, lieutenant Germán Marín Ramírez, operator radar of the plane, locates 11 echoes not-identified radars. He informs major Magdaleno Castañón Muñoz, pilot of the plane, which decides to move towards the echoes, thinking of planes of drug traffickers. However, the crew does not locate anything. The infra-red camera which is lit, after a few moments, ends up locating the 11 objects which are invisible with the naked eye. Their speed and trajectory are variable and change constantly. It pass sometimes from 60 nodes to more than 300. Their size as for it bordered the 15 meters. The UFO approached the plane then, by surrounding it, then disappeared.

The infra-red recordings were preserved.

Explanation of the case

The observation was explained by wells of Torchère S located in bay of Campèche. A revealing index was that if the infra-red camera had indeed filmed something, the pilots of the plane had not seen anything with the naked eye.

The Captain Alejandro Franz carried out a flight of reconstitution in order to check the assumption of the oil wells, while following the flight trajectory of the military aircraft and while filming in the same direction. The large majority of the scientists (as well the skeptics as the ufologists defending the extraterrestrial Assumption) accept today this explanation as being the correct explanation for this case. Only some people concerned with the current known as of the fringe ufology continue to regard this case as unexplained.
