Obscured by Clouds

Obscured by Clouds is the seventh album of the British group of progressive Rock Pink Floyd, left the June 3rd 1972.

It is the original soundtrack of the film the Valley of Barbet Schroeder. The album was recorded with the Castle of Hérouville with Hérouville in the Val-d'Oise in France.

The album was recorded at the time of a pause during the creation of the album The Dark Side off the Moon . Encouraged by the success of the preceding BO, More , Pink Floyd launched out in the writing of the music of the film the Valley . After a dispute with the production company of film, they decide to leave the disc under another name that film, Obscured by Clouds .

One can note that in the piece Free Four , Roger Waters off makes an allusion to its early paternal orphanage in the worms You are the angel death/And I amndt the dead man' S its (“You are the angel of died/And I am the dead son of man”).

In public, only will be played of this album, during the rounds of 1972 and 1973, the titles Obscured by Clouds / When You' Re In and Childhood' S End which will develop in long improvisations reaching ten minutes. However, at the time of its rounds in 2006, David Gilmour will interpret Wot' S… Uh The Deal with Richard Wright, invited to take part in its round.
