Oblast de Tchéliabinsk
The Oblast de Tcheliabinsk (in Russian Челябинскаяобласть , Tcheliabinskaïa oblast ) is an area (Oblast) of Russia.
The area is in the south of the solid mass of the the Ural and in the east of the plain of Siberia of the west. It is surrounded by the Kazakhstan in south-east, the republic of Bachkirie in the west, the Oblast de Sverdlosk in north and the Oblast de Kourgan in the east. The climate is very continental with cold winters and hot summers.
The fortress of Tcheliabinsk was built in 1736. The creation of the railway line at the 19th century involved a strong growth of the population of the city.
The principal branches of industry are the manufacture of the machine tools and the metallurgy. The area also produces iron ore, of zinc,….
The main cities are the capital Tcheliabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Zlatooust, Miass, Troïsk, Oziorsk and Kopeïsk.
