Object code
not to confuse with directed Programming object . ---- In Data-processing (development), a file object is a intermediate file intervening in the process of compilation.
This file contains Computer code, as well as other information:
- necessary to the linkage editing (symbols);
- necessary at the time of the phase of déboguage.
The majority of the compilers give to these files, the suffix “.o” (like GCC) and others “.obj” (like the compiler of Microsoft sold in the product Visual C++).
