Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a character of fiction in the universe of the Star Wars . It is a character emblematic of the saga because it put Anakin and Luke Skywalker on the way of the Force, but also because it is one of rare to be intervened throughout the epopee, whether it is physically or as an appearance.
Description
Obi-Wan is a human châtain with the blue eyes. It measures 1,79 Mr. C' is a Master Jedi which one does not know the identity of the parents. In episodes IV, V and VI, Obi-Wan are also sometimes called Ben . Biography
The young apprentice was sent on Bandommer, an agricultural planet, in order to help local agriculture. He failed to remain there, but the discovery which he made about Xanatos, the former apprentice of Whom-Gon Jinn, deferred the attention of this one on the Obi-Wan young person. Episode I: the phantom Threat
Which-Gon Jinn, following a landing on Tatooine, notices the surprising bond which links a young boy called Anakin Skywalker with the Force.
During its first space voyage, Anakin becomes acquainted with the Padawan Which-Gon Jinn, Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi.
With died of Which-Gon Jinn on Naboo, assassinated by Dark Maul, Obi-Wan promises to him to deal with the formation of Anakin. Once Obi-Wan made Knight Jedi, in front of the stubbornness of this one and by compassion for Which-Gon, Yoda gives him its agreement by affirming however that it has a presentiment of a great danger concerning the child. Episode II: the Attack of the clones
Ten years later, Anakin and Obi-Wan became of Jedi respected. It is quite naturally towards them that the chancellor Palpatine turns himself to protect the sénatrice from Naboo which is threatened of death.

Obi-Wan enters to the Jedi Council after the battle of Géonosis; indeed, the Master Jedi Coleman Trebor, who had replaced member with life of Yarael Poof following the death of this last, was killed during the Bataille of Geonosis. Obi-Wan thus replaces in its Coleman turn with the Jedi Council.
Episode III: the Revenge of Sith
Obi-Wan is from now on a general respected by all. With the assistance of Anakin, it leaves to the rescue the Chancellor Palpatine, captured by the Général Grievous. The count Dooku interferes himself and manages to neutralize Obi-Wan but loses vis-a-vis Anakin which carries out it.

Thereafter, Padmé, saved by Obi-Wan, puts at the world the twins Leia and Luke, before perishing. She announces in Obi-Wan on her bed of death that there is still good in Anakin.
Obi-Wan takes refuge on Tatooine to entrust to Beru and Owen Lars the newborn Luke Skywalker. It settles then as a hermit in a valley to take care discreetly on Luke, and to communicate with its former Master Who-Gon Jinn thanks to a technique that Yoda revealed to him.
Episode IV: a new hope
It is Luke Skywalker which finds the old man Ben Kenobi in the mountains of Tatooine. The old man main Jedi saves Luke Skywalker of the men of sands and reveals to him that his/her father was a large Jedi knight overcome by Dark Vador (what Luke, learning thereafter all the truth on his/her father, will then regard as a lie, although this assertion of Obi-Wan is true but from a certain point of view). It makes discover in Luke Skywalker what is the Force and begins its “formation”.
After capturebeing captured by mysterious the Star of Dead the, at the time of an ultimate combat against Dark Vador, Obi-Wan is apparently let kill to allow Luke, Leia, and Han Solo to flee. Episodes V and VI
Obi-Wan will continue to appear in the two following episodes in the form of a phantom for advising Luke Skywalker.
In the Empire counter-attacks , the old Jedi Master will appear in Luke in the form of spectrum on frozen planet of Hoth, to guide it on the planet Dagobah towards Master Yoda, the last surviving Jedi Master.
In the Return of Jedi , it will reappear once again in Luke to be explained on the dissimulation of the truth on the fate of his/her father Anakin Skywalker and to support Luke last once before its final combat against Vador and the Emperor Palpatine.
It is during the celebration of the victory of rebellious Alliance on Endor that Obi-Wan will appear, in company of Yoda, and Anakin, its found friend, to greet the bravery of Luke and to thank it.
After episode VI
Obi-Wan will make only to one last appearance with Luke in a dream in the novel the Heir to the Empire , which is five years after episode VI. He will say to him to pay attention to the obscure side always present, but Luke in vain begs its Master to remain. Obi-Wan gave him some last councils, and known as in Luke that it will find it in the currents of the Force when this one passes from life to demise. Then, the spirit Obi-Wan Kenobi, the hero of the War of the Clones and a large known Jedi Master, disappeared definitively and went to join his/her former Jedi friends like Yoda, Which-Gon Jinn and Anakin in the currents of the Force and to find the eternal rest…
Interpreters
Two actors interpreted the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi:

- Alec Guinness for episodes IV, V and VI
In episode III, Ewan McGregor wears a in the same way cut beard that of Alec Guinness in the last three episodes. The actor also had to work his gestures and his mimicry in order to approach in more Alec Guinness.
