Tradition

Obanos is known for the mystery represented of the years lasting at the time of the festivals of at the end of August with the assistance of the inhabitants of the locality, in front of two thousand spectators, in an architectural space very indicated. It was about the mystery of San Guilhem and Santa Felicia.
Sainte Félicie was a princess of Aquitaine which, after a pilgrimage with Compostelle, renonça with its richnesses and remained in Amocain, to carry out a life of prayer to it. His/her Guilhem brother, little convinced by the explanations of people of the procession, killed it. Then, taken remorse, it also went him in Compostelle and returned to finish its days with the sanctuary very close to the Virgin of Arnotegui.

Another tradition, which requires less actors: Thursday of Easter, at the time of the blessing of the wine, the priest makes pass this invaluable regional liquid above the money head containing the relics of San Guilhem.
