Évariste is regarded traditionally as the fifth Pape, successor of Clément I {{er}}. The exact dates of its pontificate are not known (between 97/99 - v. 105). One does not know large-thing either his life: it would be originating in Antioche and would have had a father Juif. One allots the division of the to him Diocèse of Rome in Paroisse S, but this reorganization of the Church of Rome is actually posterior for him 150 years. It would have ordered that the marriages are made public. He is the presumed author of two letters décrétales, one addressed to the bishops of Africa, the other with those of Egypt. He would have undergone the Martyr E under Trajan but this fact is not historically proven.
Festival : the October 26th.
