OSSAD
The method OSSAD is a method of analysis of organization by the processes
Initials OSSAD mean: Office Support Systems Analysis and Design.
This method is based on several models
-
the Abstract Modèle
- It describes the objectives of the organization, independently of the means and the resources implemented to reach that point.
- It represents the functions (name given to the processes) of the organization (ex: marketing, production) and the packages of information which they exchange (ex: statistics, contracts). A function is decomposable in sub-functions (under process). The not broken up functions are called activities.
- It answers the questions WHAT? and WHY?
-
the Descriptive Modèle
- It the human means and the technological resources of the organization
- It the procedures of the organization (= manner of carrying out an activity), as well as the roles (= which takes part in which activity represents describes) and the resources implemented (= with what the activity is carried out)
- It answers the questions WHICH? and HOW?
- It is composed of three types of graphic formalisms
- the matrices activities/roles
- the graphs of circulation of the resources of information (model of roles and procedures)
- the graphs of operations
