Nymphaeaceae

The family of the Nymphéacées ( Nymphaeaceae ) belonged to the plants Angiospermes. According to Watson and Dallwitz it includes/understands 75 species divided into 3 kinds:

They are plants watery, rhizomateuses, with the floating round sheets, represented in France by the yellow water lilies ( kind Nuphar ). One can also quote the white lotus Egyptian ( kind Nymphaea ).

According to the phylogenetic classification APG II (2003) this family belongs to old divergence and the plants are not true dicotylédones. The family includes/understands the kind Barclaya in the past placed in Barclayacées. One can also include (optionellement) in this family the Cabombacées. By inclusant Cabombacées the family Nymphaeaceae included/understood 8 kinds, by excludant them 6 kinds.
