Nuno Gonçalves

Nuno Gonçalves was a painter Portuguese of the 15th century. Its name was recorded in 1463 as painter of the court of Alphonse V, but none as of its work survived until our days. There are however strong chances that it painted the Painéis de São Vicente de Fora, a work of art of the Portuguese painting of the 15th century in which, with a marked style dry but of a powerful realism, he depicts the prominent figures of the Portuguese court of the time, including what seems to be a Autoportrait, and where one can see the whole of the company, since the nobility and the clergy to the people.
