Nuggets

Nuggets is the title of an album compilation of songs of 60 ' S punk or Rock garage (according to the tastes and the modes of the labels) of American groups of 1964 has 1968.
Compiled for the first time by Lenny Kaye and left in 1972 at Elektra in the shape an double album of 27 songs, it made it possible to redécouvrir this type of music at the time almost sunk in the lapse of memory and completely passed of mode.
It was used as inspiration with several generations of musicians and recording companies independent with length of the years from its exit.
The majority of these titles became traditional kind and were often taken again on album or into live by recent rock'n'roll groups as various as Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Ramones, The Cramps, The Inmates, The Fuzztones, etc

The term Punk rock'n'roll appears for the first time in the notes of the small pocket and will be recycled and adapted some years to later qualify the wave of American, British groups and French of the movement since called Punk.

The popularity of the kind generated a request for a second album which never left. Many other recording companies took up the idea on their account and left the series of albums on the same topic. Let us quote for example the serious series Back from the , Pebbles (more than 20 albums), etc

Since the years 1990, the album knows several republications and versions with various combinations of the same whole of songs:

Nuggets: Original artyfacts from the first psychedelic will era 1965-1968
