Pierre-Henri Cami (born with Pau the June 20th 1884 - died with Paris the November 3rd 1958) was a French humorist. He signed Henri Cami .
The career of humorist
Impassioned Operetta and of Bullfighting, Cami sees beginning its comic career by the means of the bulletin of the undertaking… named so well Petit illustrated hearse .Endowed for the Caricature but more particularly still for a Theater with a daftness seldom reached among the French comic authors, Cami enjoys a great fame as of 1914. It creates characters burlesques extremely appreciated until the Second world war, such as Loufock-Holmès, César Rikiki.
Charlie Chaplin said of him that he was “the largest humorist “in the world”” and Jacques Prévert which, following the example Roland Topor or Jean-Jacques Pauvert and Raymond Devos, was with the account of its admirors, proposed the term of “camisard” to designate its admirors.
He was also the author of " the Camique" week; in the Illustration .

; Pastiches of the baron de Münchhausen Cami imagined a parodic, burlesque counterpart Baron de Münchhausen: the Baron de Crac, military French, commander about the Royal-Jabot, courtier of Louis XV. Of its retirement in Gascogne, with the castle Cracodière, it tells with its guests filled with wonder in advance the exploits which established its universal reputation (episodes of hunting, scenes of battles, incidents/accidents, missions of the king…). It has a faithful servant named Dodu. Jean Image will take as a starting point the drawings of Cami to represent the baron of Münchhausen in his cartoon: Fabulous adventures of the legendary baron de Münchhausen (1978).

Reception and critical reception
The specialists in Cami are Michel Laclos and John Crombie. This last, editor and Scottish typographer (Kickshaws editions), publish ignored texts of the humorist.
