Nuclear safety advice (Spain)
The nuclear Safety advice (CSN) is a Spanish institution dedicated to nuclear industry.
Its role
The CSN is charged to control the effects of radiations on the workers, the environment and the populations like supervising the safety of nuclear installations or radioactives.
It is charged every year to inform the congress of the deputies and the senators on the indices of activity raised during the year passée.
It is charged to supervise the periods of operation of the nuclear plants located on the Spanish territory, by preserving the characteristics of the engines: thermal power, electric output, primary pressure, primary temperature, concentration out of Boron, etc…
Its organization
The CSN has a library which gathers 7000 volumes concerning nuclear energy: technical informations, reviews, standards, annual information of the congresses. The CSN is installed with Madrid and it has a museum on ionizing radiations, with experiments for the visitors.
