the Nuclear plant of Qinshan is installed with Haiyan in the province of the Zhejiang near Shanghai.

Description

The power station was built in three phases successives.
  • Qinshan 1 : engine REFERENCE MARK of 300 MW connected in 1991
  • Qinshan 2-A : engine REFERENCE MARK of 650 MW connected in 2002
  • Qinshan 2-B : engine REFERENCE MARK of 650 MW connected in 2004
  • Qinshan 3-A : engine CANDU PHWR of 728 MW connected in 2003
  • Qinshan 3-B : engine CANDU PHWR of 728 MW connected in 2003
The 3rd phase (Qinshan 3) including/understanding two engines, is the first nuclear plant designed and built by the Chinese themselves on the basis of two engine CANDU.
The power station of Qinshan supplies mainly with its five engines the electrical communication of China of the East.

The monitoring carried out by the protection service of the environment attests that the operation of the Power station of Qinshan harmed its environment forever and that it exceeded the limits of rejections forever tolerated by the regulation.
