The nuclear plant of Oyster Creek , built on a site of 320 ha, is located on banks of bay of Oyster Creek at Forked River (Comté of Ocean, State of the New Jersey).

This power station east is made up of an ebullient water reactor (REB) of design
General Electric:
- Oyster Creek : 610 MWe, brought into service in 1969 per 40 years (2009).
The source of cooling is the water of the Atlantic Ocean drawn from the Baie of Barnegat.
It is currently the oldest nuclear plant under operation in the United States. A request for prolongation of 20 years exploitation beyond 2009 was presented to NRC in 2005.
The power station belongs to AmerGen Energy Company which is also the operating one and which is a subsidiary company with 100% of Exelon.
