The Nuclear plant of Ohi (大飯発電所 " Ōi hatsudensho") is exploited by the electric Compagnie Kansaï (KEPCO).
It is located at Ohi (大飯郡), a city of the Préfecture of Fukui (福井県), on the coast of the mid-west of the island of Honshu which is the principal island of the Japan.
Description
The power station of Ohi is equipped with 4 nuclear reactors with pressurized water (REFERENCE MARK):
- Ohi 1 : 1120 MWe, REFERENCE MARK 4 loops, MSI in 1979.
- Ohi 2 : 1120 MWe, REFERENCE MARK 4 loops, MSI in 1979.
- Ohi 3 : 1127 MWe, REFERENCE MARK 4 loops, MSI in 1991.
- Ohi 4 : 1127 MWe, REFERENCE MARK 4 loops, MSI in 1993.
NB: MSI = brought into service industrial
The first two engines were built by the American manufacturer
Westinghouse and the last two engines by the Japanese constructor
Mitsubishi.
