Nuclear plant of Nine Mile Not

The Nuclear plant of Nine Mile Not is a nuclear plant located close to Oswego, in the State of New York on a ground of 3,6 km ². The site is shared with the Nuclear plant of Fitzpatrick.
The engine n°1 is one of the oldest engines in service in the United States.

Description

The power station has two ebullient water reactors (BWR) built by General Electric:
  • Nine Mile Point 1 : 621 MWe, brought into service in 1974,
  • Nine Mile Point 2 : 1135 MWe, brought into service in 1987.
The owner of the power station is " Nuclear" constellation; " group; Energy" constellation;.
The section n°1 belongs entirely to the " group; Energy" constellation; who shares the property of the section n°2 with " Length Island Power Authority" (18% LIPA, 82% Energy Constellation).
" Energy" constellation; for building a new engine on this site or of course the site close to Calvert Cliffs.
