The Nuclear plant of Nahal Soreq is a research center and of development located close to the localities of Palmachim and Yavne in Israel. It operates under the control of the Commission to Israeli Nuclear energy (IAEC). The center undertakes various research in science-physics, on all types of probes, Laser S, atmospheric, technical research of Non destructive testing, safety nuclear, space, medical, radiology, etc

The installations of this institute include/understand a Nuclear reactor with swimming pool with light water of 5 MW, provided at the end of the years 1950 by the the United States within the framework of the program Atoms for Peace and of an accelerator Cyclotron of protons of 10 MeV, as well as research laboratories and of test. Currently in construction, an accelerator with proton Deutérium of a power of 40 MeV under 2 my should be brought into service in 2009.
