Nuclear plant of Kakrapar
The Nuclear plant of Kakrapar is built close to the town of Surat in the state of the Gujarat located at the west of India. The power station is exploited by the company " Nuclear power Corporation off India Ltd".
Description
The power station is equipped with two pressurized heavy-water reactors (PHWR) of type CANDU of capacity 220 MW:- Kakrapar 1 , 220 MWe, brought into service in 1993,
- Kakrapar 2 , 220 MWe, brought into service in 1995.
