Nuclear plant of Chin Shan

The Nuclear plant of Chin Shan is located at the septentrional end of the Island of Taiwan.

Description

The power station is equipped with two ebullient water reactors REB of 604 MWe:
  • Chin Shan 1 : 604 MWe, brought into service in 1978 per 40 years,
  • Chin Shan 2 : 604 MWe, brought into service in 1979 per 40 years.
The construction of the engines was carried out by the American companies:
  • General Electric Co. for the engine,
  • Westinghouse Electric Corporation for the turbine.
The owner also owner is Taiwan Power Co.
