Nuclear plant of Bellefonte

The nuclear plant of Bellefonte is a power station located at Hollywood in Alabama which belongs to Tennessee Valley Authority.

Unfinished construction

This power station comprises two pressurized water reactors (REFERENCE MARK) whose construction had been entrusted to Babcock and Wilcox and who were not finished. The engines were shut down in 1988 after having already cost 6 billion $.

New project

In September 2005, the site of Bellefonte was again selected for the installation from one or two Pressurized water reactors of the type AP1000.
