Nuclear family
A nuclear family is a form of family Structure correspondent with a Ménage gathering the two or not married married parents and their children, contrary to the widened Famille which can count several generations.
It is also a term used by Emmanuel Todd in the tests where it characterizes different the family Systèmes on planet. The nuclear family of Emmanuel Todd is defined by a liberal relation parent-children. She leads to the foundation of a new hearth by the children since they become parents and has as a result the not-cohabitation of more than two generations, i.e. the nuclear family as a family structure . Emmanuel Todd distinguishes:
- the absolute Nuclear family
- the levelling Nuclear family
- the anomic Family, put out of order form of the nuclear family when it does not meet endogamic interdicts
