Novotcheboksarsk

Novotcheboksarsk (in Russian: Новочебокса́рск; in Chuvash: ÇěнěШупашкар) is a city of the République of Tchouvachie, in Russia. It is located at 15 km in the east of the capital of Tchouvachie, Tcheboksary, on southernmost bank of the the Volga. Its population rose with: 125857 inhabitants with the census of 2002

Novotcheboksarsk started to develop in 1960 like satellite town by absorbing the surrounding villages: Ielnikovo, Iandachevo, Anatkassy and Tsygankasy. She knew a rapid growth, reaching the 100  000 inhabitants in 1983.
