Novi Bečej

Novi Bečej , in Serb Cyrillic НовиБечеј, in Hungarian German Törökbecse and Neu-Betsche, is a city and a municipality of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. It belongs to the district of the central Banat. In 2002, the city counted 14.552 inhabitants, including 61,36% the Serb ones and Hungarian 26,63%, and the municipality of which it is the center 26.924, including 69,94% the Serb ones and Hungarian 19,22%.
