- France: the parents of the two Moslem minors Ziad Benna and Bouna Traoré of Clichy-sous-Bois (93), dead electrocuted during their escape to avoid the police force, are received with Matignon by the Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and the Minister of Interior Department Nicolas Sarkozy. - the United States, prison: the Washington Post reveals the existence of a world network of secret prisons managed by the CIA. The daily newspaper specifies that such prisons would be inter alia in Afghanistan and in an Eastern European country; it is as explained as these prisons would be located abroad because of the illegal character such prisons at the the United States, the prisoners not having any legal status.
- France, Riots of 2005 in the French suburbs: young people invaded some time the police station of the Galleon with Aulnay-sous-Bois (93) which was unoccupied at this time.
