Novel of Horn
The Romance of Horn , or Romance of Horn and Hunlaf , is a novel of adventure of 14 866 worms written in Anglo-Norman towards 1170 by an anonymous author named “Thomas”.
The Romance of Horn has as a Horn hero, wire of Aaluf, king de Southdone (probably some share in the Devon), like Romund, Hunlaf, Guddred, Lemburg, Batolf, Rimel, Gudmod, Romuld Malfé, Rollac, Hildebrant. Become orphan when the ship in which it is drift of the shores of southernmost England towards Brittany, Horn is high at the court of Hunlaf and it falls in love with his daughter, beautiful Rymenild or Ermynild. Its defense of the kingdom against the invasion of the Sarrasins does not prevent the king from banishing it. It goes then to Ireland in Ireland where Guddred reign, father of Lembourg, it fall also in love with this one before ending up returning to Brittany where, after a series of adventures, it marries Rigmel before going up on the throne.
