Nova Iguaçu

Nova Iguaçu is a city of the Brésil, located in the State of Rio de Janeiro of the South-eastern area.

Situation

The city belongs to the Baixada Fluminense, small historical area immediately in the north of Rio de Janeiro; the city is bordering on Rio besides. In spite of its very urban position, a third of the territory is covered by the forest. It is sprinkled by small coastal rivers of which Igaçu, and tributary tributaries of the Baie of Guanabara and that of Sepetiba.

History
